This page presents our cost benchmarking analysis of Network Rail's costs. It covers the analysis we undertook in different periodic reviews as well as reports we produced as part of our regular monitoring of Network Rail’s cost performance.

We monitor Network Rail’s planning and delivery of enhancements (large scale projects delivering new infrastructure capabilities).

Our annual report on health and safety for 2022 to 2023 highlights the need for rail industry to meet climate challenge and for it to focus on supporting workers.
