Edinburgh sees biggest jump in station usage in Scotland
Edinburgh station in Scotland saw the highest increase in passenger use last year clocking nearly 18.9 million passenger entries and exits – an increase of 887,334 (or 4.9%) compared to 2011-12, reveals latest data published today by the Office of Rail Regulation.
Glasgow Central still the most used station in Scotland
Glasgow Central remains the most heavily used station in Scotland clocking almost 29 million passenger entries and exits last year – an increase of over 1.8m (or 7%) compared to 2013-14.

Waterloo has topped the list of Britain’s busiest stations with a total of 99,403,096 entries and exits in 2016/17, the 14th consecutive year it has been the most used station.

Cardiff Central remains the most used station in Wales, clocking over 11 million passenger entries and exits last year – an increase of almost 200,000 (or 2%) compared to 2013-14.
