Monitoring Network Rail’s performance

The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has today approved the action Network Rail must take to improve train performance for passengers and freight users both immediately and in the longer term.

Network Rail had a good year on safety in 2015-16. There has been good progress improving infrastructure reliability, but this has not yet translated into better performance for passengers, and there are cost and delivery issues on some enhancement projects which need to be addressed‎.
