Benchmarking Highways England 2020 Progress Report - February 2021

This year's report is the last of our benchmarking reports dealing with performance in road period 1. The report summarises the performance of Highways England's regions over the five years of the first road period. It explores the relationship between different aspects of performance at a regional level. 

The report also includes an analysis of the safety performance of motorways for a selection of European countries. 

The report summarises the target benchmarking studies we have undertaken in road period 1 and provides further details of the plans we are implementing for road period 2.
