Analytical and research reports

Rail Industry Key Statistics

Rail Industry Key Statistics is a collection of measures that report on the rail industry as a whole. It is intended to complement the regulatory targets that the performance of Network Rail is monitored against, such as train service performance and delivery of enhancements projects.

Analytical reports

We publish a range of statistics about railway performance, rail usage and safety via our National Statistics accredited statistical releases and ORR Data portal. Alongside this we regularly analyse these statistics to better understand the data, relationship between metrics and support performance evaluation and decision making for the railway industry.

As part of the transparency agenda we are making these analytical reports more widely available.
